Hi Guys,

As my build is still unallocated I am having thoughts to change my spec, always dangerous. ha

I was wondering what your thoughts were on the Standard v Beats sound system, is it worth the upgrade ? Is sound quality noticeable.

My Current car 2016 A3 has the B&O System by default of choosing the Comfort & Sound Pack.

Thanks

I've got Beats, I got it because in the test drive I didn't like the sound of the standard audio and then I heard a mate's Polo Beats and thought that sounded way better. To be 100% honest, I think it's the worst premium audio that I've had, but is way better than standard. My gripe with it is the usual gripe about Beats(tm). It's all about "trick bass", to the extent that you don't get a great performance across the full tonal range. Some tunes sound totally superb, some great, some average and one or two terrible. I've fiddled with the equaliser over the 3 months I've had it and now have it at a setting where most stuff is pretty great. Still get the odd scratchy vocal if the singer has just the "wrong" vocal range. I'd get it again, in the absence of something better, but Bose & Dynaudio (previous cars) were both superior IMO.
PS, and for all of what I said I'm talking about at ear-splitting volume. At "wife level" volume it's all good (helped by the car being super-quiet), but the trick bass doesn't cut in until you get over a certain volume.

No, the sub-woofer fits inside of the space saver and takes up no additional space.

I love the Beats audio system. If you have spotify, go to your settings and choose to download & play the songs in High Quality. The music coming out of your speakers will be pure heaven.
