Re: Windscreen scratches and pitting

Check your insurance policy ,it might include free windscreen repair. or they might just charge you the normal fee which seems to £75 these days. It all depends where the scratch is on the screen and how bad it interferes with your driving, whether you put up with it or get it sorted. Also, bear in...

Re: What wait?

1.5 TSI SE - built week 46 Nov 2019 I don't think there have been any reports on here of cars with 1.5 engine having the kangaroo issue if built from August onwards. So it sounds like it should be roo free. If you can test drive it before committing then that would be good. Ask to test drive with t...

I used toothpaste on a scratch caused by the windscreen wipers. Just took it steady and kept going until I couldn’t feel the scratch giving any resistance under the cloth.
I was a little sceptical at first about this method but it worked a treat.

Has anyone else noticed their windscreen is easily damaged? Don't know what to do with the scratch, I hea...

Re: Are mud flaps essential on the T-Roc ?

This is a very irritating problem and an eyesore. I was considering fitting mud flaps but the consensus seems to be that it is ineffective. I would be wary of fitting any extra seal to the sill or door because this may compromise the door drain holes, leading to much more serious problems. My tempo...

Re: Expensive Oil Change

I've just completed 9,000 miles and had an "Oil change" (as prompted by the Infotainment screen) carried out by the local VW dealer. I was schocked to see the invoice - £259.79!!! £162.50 for the "Service as Required and reset the service light" £6.88 for the oil filter £3.09 for the plug £41.00 fo...
