Re: Pulling Away

I sometimes find my 1.5 DSG combo causes wheelspin - mostly in Sport mode when it’s wet (and cold) or poorly surfaced roads (pretty much everywhere near me) but it also happens in Normal drive mode. What also seems to cause it is when pulling away at a right turn where you’re slightly turning as you...

Folding mirrors and de-icer

So this evening I had to take the car out and it was covered in ice. I unlocked the car forgetting the mirrors would unfold and they did so with a horrible crunching sound due to the ice. Does anyone know if de-icer will damage the motor if it is sprayed around the folding axis? Or if it might inter...

Get a pice of sticky bandage not waterproof .
It stops the debris but allows the water through.
You still need to clean it out now and again.

It’s just a bad design .
Should have made it so you don’t need a drain .
This is actually genius.

Re: VW T-Roc R vs Mercedes AMG vs Porsche Cayenne Coupe

Probably does so well because VW have removed so much weight from it through penny pinching

I have to say, mine - while having half the power of the R - is very nimble and dare I say a bit fun to throw round corners with a little enthusiasm.

Re: 2.0tsi and 4Motion

They do this from time to time when new emissions regulations become law. They need to revise their cheat devices or pass the new emissions tests before they can continue to sell the engines. They’ll be back on sale soon I’m sure!

The DSG gearbox in the 2.0 Tsi is a DQ381 wet clutch which has a service interval of 120,000 km, 80,000miles.
Are you sure? I thought modern DSG boxes are “sealed for life” with synthetic oil and do not require serviced. Or does it matter whether it is wet/dry clutched?

Re: Discover Media Sat Nav updates

The official download web site : https://webspecial.volkswagen.de/vwinfotainment/int/en/index/downloads/maps-download#/ Select the T-Roc model - for Mib2 select 'until 2019' or 'from 2019', for Mib3 selec...
