Thanks. I don’t understand why it has to be done at their site though. Is one of them going to fit it? Normally you can go to any VW retailer for warranty repairs but likely VW aren’t covering it under warranty, nor are they applying goodwill to it so your dealer is the one footing the bill - hence...

Absolutely right to demand a genuine screen. I made the mistake of not doing that on my previous AUdi S3, and what a mistake that was, as neither the auto lights or wiper worked correctly - fortunately the screen broke again, and I had a genuine one put in and everything worked properly again. Have you thoroughly cleaned both the camera at the top of the windscreen and the VW badge? They are the two primary sensors as far as I’m aware.

Second day of giving the car a go and can safely say not noticed any hesitation pulling away or any kind of roo. :-) only done 145 miles yet. Also you must set the system only once you’ve got the tyres at the right pressure. It seems to take an accurate calibration reading at the time of setting and base the pressure loss on that value.

So now that I can finally use the new We Connect app, I’m wondering: what’s the point of the other app, VW Connect? Is that essentially pointless with a modern car? This new app seems to get data directly from the cellular connection in the car whereas VW Connect gets it from the OBD plug.
