Re: UNHAPPY MODS

I had a nearly new Golf 1.5 dsg as a hire car in Geneva recently (paid for Polo so pleased) and although a fine car it too had a disconcerting habit of shutting the engine off for a moment or two coming up to roundabouts. It also did the same while coasting which was more seamless. I personally foun...

Re: Front Assist : no sensor view

Yes, a few times in heavy rain. The sensor behind the badge seems more prone to this than the plastic dome I had on my previous Golf. I've had no other problems with it and think it's just a feature of the T-Roc and presumably similarly equipped Volkswagens.

Re: What would you change for the Mk2 T-Roc?

Re instrument illumination at night I initially thought it was too bright. After a while I worked out that you have to go into the menus on the infotainment to adjust. Happy once done.

Re: T-Roc v T-Cross

Had a good look at the T-Cross while my car was in for service. Liked it but as others have suggested, the styling seemed less sharp than the T-Roc. Boot noticeably smaller too. Also think if I wanted a similar spec to my car with 115ps engine/6 speed box and climate control etc it would be very muc...

Re: Nice Shiny Wheels

Agree with T Roo, my car has the standard 17in wheels and as the tyres are not particularly low profile have had no problems. Bigger wheels must have lower profile tyres hence will always be vulnerable.

Re: Boot liner - lower position

Well, tailored boot liners for the lower position do exist because I have one! Bought through Amazon ‘Tailored fit GLE Boot Liner 193424’ by Bootliners. Very happy with it.

Re: Hello from Belgium

If you get 17 years out of the T-Roc as well that’ll be good 😀

Re: Loose spoiler (NOTE TO EVERYONE)

Just got my letter re this yesterday. Can’t really be hassled with taking it into the dealership for check as I have had a good look at the top of the spoiler and it is currently secure. I somewhat doubt the dealer’s check would be much different. My car gets it’s service late May and I think I’ll l...

Re: Folding mirrors

You can definitely set the mirrors to stay out when parking the car up, as that is what I do with mine. I just felt that if the mirrors were always closing every time I parked up they would wear quicker. It’s somewhere in the infotainment system menus. I just use the control button when I want to fo...

Re: Delivery Tyres

Bridgestone for me too, seem fine. Previously had Continentals on my Golf.
