Re: Disable “no overtaking on the left” for ACC

No righteous opinion here but maybe it has read the highway code :D Get caught doing that manoeuvre in free moving traffic 6 points and 1000 euro fine, if accident results then a nice jail sentence is added. But still they do it and they have to be caught before they learn. Isn’t that only if the m...

Re: Cruise Control query

Trocnroll, many thanks - I’ll certainly give that a try. Brid, I found that pressing either the + or - would increase or decrease the setting by only 5 mph. In Spain would that be closer to 10 kph hence your incremental adjustments of units of 10? Curious... Of course, in order to make any setting/...

Re: Cruise Control query

To make increments of 1 up or 1 down the acc has to be active.
Pressing the plus\minus usually increments to the next divisor of 10 then plus 10, likewise downwards. Eg if speed was set at 63 then pressing + would increase speed to 70 then another press to 80 etc.

This option does not appear on the rline configurator. Have they removed it?
Has this option ever been available in the UK?
I have it and it does take some getting used to as the information sometimes conflicts with the data from the Sat Nav embedded information.

Re: 1.5 EVO - 1st gear kangaroo

What a decision, well done. I bottled out of the 1.5 and bought a 2.0 diesel and do not regret the decision. Just remember that the stick for the wipers on VW is the gearshift on the Merc and don't push the end button whilst running as it does make a terrible noise. Out of habit I still put the wipe...

Oh yes, pressing that override button is such a chore. It’s what your left arm’s for isn’t it. But I’ve got an idea, just leave it on so the engine stops when you’re stationary. Much better for everyone.! That’s a problem though because in mine it stops before I am stationary. Even better ... but I...

The plastic "honeycomb" effect grill and other similar parts, they are a right pain to clean by hand. Getting rid of flies, wasps and moths is a work of true dedication.

Re: Stop/Start feature..

Interesting. I guess it’s just coincidence as you say and I must have been turning the wheel. I would be happy to use auto start/stop due to it being far smoother than the Golf but I still worry about the starter burning out much quicker. I feel like auto start/stop is better utilized in heavy traf...

Re: Recommendations for Dashcam for T-Roc

Hi Brid, I have the word 'Airbag' imprinted on the passenger side dashboard and steering wheel as you already mentioned, plus the word 'Airbag' embossed at the top of the B pillar trim between front and back doors. But there is nothing I can see marked on the two A pillars where there are 2 more ai...
