Re: Dashboard display failure

I'm not sure the scale bars for the water temp and fuel gauges are actually part of the electronic display, and it is only the secondary bars which indicate the levels that are electronically displayed with the ignition on. That could explain why you think these are still ok. As for the blank centra...

Re: Mandatory Speed Limiter from 2022

I haven't read the articles, but who is driving (no pun) this forward ? Is it coming from the EU or the manufacturers. If it's from the EU, then perhaps now that we have left (???) cars sold in the UK could have this disabled, but I suspect there are plenty of anti-car MPs who would welcome this and...

Re: Missing Discovery SAT Nav for new T-Roc

It sounds as if they only fitted the unit in the glove box with the twin (?) SD card slots (and CD ?) and did not change the head unit (the bit with the screen). For what you paid, I think they should have replaced both. Where/how did you find the date was 2016 ? It is possible that is a second hand...

Re: Trip odometer resets itself

This might be related to the 3 options for displaying the car data (fuel, distance, av. speed etc.).

The options are 'Since Refuelling', 'Since Start' and 'Long Term'. Have a look in the manual for details and how to change the selection.

Re: MIB3 SatNav problems

Thanks Clear as mud in the manual and web I thought that may be the case Thanks again Yes it's a strange one ... the manual was written long before the R appeared, yet it describes the Performance Monitor in great detail. The manual is full of similar confusion and often small print will say 'may d...

Re: MIB3 SatNav problems

Hi Tonyj / htpeargo, I tried your 3 post codes in my Mib2 SatNav - ST17 4JL NR7 0PW CV37 0AH They were all found and the map showed the correct locations. If the problem only affects certain post codes, then it is most likely due to the map data, so check the version you have as per my earlier post ...

If you look in the car settings menus, you should find an entry for System Information.

Re: MIB3 SatNav problems

Try CV37 0AH - this is the VW dealer !! All of them worked on my Golf GTD 7.5 and Golf GTD 7.0 It's not as though the postcodes are new . I've raised the issue with VWUK - let's see what they say .... I wonder if there is the same issue on other VWs with MIB3? Golf 8? The latest version of map data...

Re: MIB3 SatNav problems

Hi Tonyj I cannot input post codes either. Tried Stafford and Norwich (Mib3 Infotainment) The unit says 20.9 s/w build but I fail to know how this relates to the software update on the web. Anyone Know. Tonyj / htpeargo, give us some example post codes which don't work for you so we can try them on...
