Re: 1.5 EVO - 1st gear kangaroo

You imply it is a 50-50 chance, and this is clearly not the case. As I say, stick to facts. Don't take the hump Newtroconthebloc. Exactly what justification is there for saying 'heads or tails' ? Anyone knows that is a 50-50 chance, so no, I am not a moderator but simply stating FACTS ! You sound a...

Are you a moderator or something I think we have our own minds to judge what’s fact or otherwise. Keep up the good work. Don't take the hump Newtroconthebloc. Exactly ...

Re: 1.5 EVO - 1st gear kangaroo

Just seen on the Skoda forums the 1.5 tsi engines have been removed as options from new Kodiaqs and superbs and some Seats. So does this mean the same will happen to vws? The 1.5 is a small engine to put in a Kodiaq (and Superb ?), so this may be to improve the supply of 1.5 engines for the smaller...

Re: 1.5 EVO - 1st gear kangaroo

So let's just stick to the facts. I agree. The 'kangaroo' was first reported in this thread on 15 April 2018. The Honest John website reported on 15 July 2019 that the problem still persists. Prospective owners: getting a roo-free T-Roc is a £20k gamble. Heads or tails? :| You imply it is a 50-50 c...

Re: 1.5 EVO - 1st gear kangaroo

Really? I though some others had said they were really helpful and assisted all the way through to a fix. I guess maybe it depends who you get. Or how angry you seem. Very angry! and what’s this ‘fix’ I doesn’t work ! Remember, the “fix” is only available for MY19 cars right now. I think yours is M...

Don’t hold your breath with Exec office, all I get from them is ‘it’s up to the dealer who you have the contract with ‘ useless ! Really? Yay, only ordered my car a week ago. Now got a confirmed build week. Just need to phone VW when they open to find out when but I guess 4 weeks from today.
So build week is confirmed today but which week is build week ?
It can’t be this week so why 4weeks from today ?

Re: 1.5 EVO - 1st gear kangaroo

So is the conclusion that 2019 cars onwards will be ok and it’s only 2018 models that won’t? No, I don’t think we can say that quite yet. But it seems the latest software update for 2019 models is proving at least mostly successful so far. I’m taking this new info to my local dealer today and deman...

Re: 1.5 EVO - 1st gear kangaroo

I hope we can all take such comments in a light hearted manner. Obviously it’s no joke really, mine is a lot better since the software ‘fix’ but in 1st at slow speeds it’s still a bit rooey. I’m just very apprehensive ignoring it as I’m sure it’ll be a great deal worse once we get colder weather aga...
