Re: SatNav - new update

Hello all, I don't have a T-Roc - I have a 2015 Polo with the Discover Media system. I hope you don't mind if I chip in the discussion here! First of all, thank you all for the wealth of research and information you provided in this topic about the latest Discover Media map updates. In particular, ...

Re: Automatic parking break fault

I agree with Impala we need more info as to what the problem is and the spec of your car, in particular if it's a DSG or Manual box.

Note that on DSG cars, Hill Hold will only come on and work when the car is in Drive

Re: Badly misted up windscreen (wet)

Hmm... on second thought: I might give the Rain-X Mist stuff a miss. The Amazon reviews seem to indicate that it can make your windscreen much worse. Generally I take Amazon reviews with a fairly large helping of salt but when loads of people are saying the same thing, it worries me. Well, all I ca...

Re: Badly misted up windscreen (wet)

The inside of the windscreen is very badly misted up these days (actually wet) , I have to hit the fast demist button but it's a pain. Does anyone have a method of minimising the windscreen misting up :?: :P Clean the windscreen thoroughly with screen cleaner then apply mist-x. Mist-x is made by th...

Re: Various apps

You'll get varying views on the We Connect Go app as to it being useful or not from different owners. Where I find it useful is where I have the Sat Nav in my T-ROC and can locate a destination on my iPhone (using We Connect Go) and then "send" it to the car, so I don't have to program the Sat Nav w...

Re: 2.0 TDI 4 Motion real world MPG?

Hello all! Had my TRoc about a month now and I am very suprised by my MPG. I don’t use eco I’ll admit, 1st and 2nd gear feel too unresponsive so I keep it in normal. Over 1000 miles I’ve averaged 33mpg and I’ve been driving sensible. Most of the driving has been on 30 and 40 roads so wasn’t expecti...

Re: Rear wiper

The rear wiper on mine works fine. Yes it did start juddering over the rear screen, very easy fix, no need for a new blade. Basically all the blade needs is cleaning. 2 things to do - get a sharp Stanley knife blade and just gently run it at a 45 degree angle along the wiping edge this takes off any...

Re: Chipping/Mapping a T-Roc

I'm also considering the RS for my 2.0TSi, have spoken quite a bit with RaceChip, but I'm seriously wondering whether its worthwhile, as in all honesty I find the performance of the 2.0TSi perfectly adequate for UK roads - I actually don't miss the performance of my previous RSQ3 (340bhp) and I thou...

Re: Screen wash

I just use the 4L bottle of anti-freeze which you mix up with water from Halfords. Haven't had any issues on any of my Audi's using it, so hopefully not on the T-ROC.

Re: SatNav - new update

Thanks Impala Hmm I had a feeling that you "couldn't use just any card". Crafty buggers. I might just get a spare (if its not a silly price) from VW, as often the wife is out in the car if I'm not, so getting hold of the SD card to do an update for any length of time could be a planning exercise! Th...
