Re: Display scratches.

If you had read my thread properly you will see that I'm not disagreeing with you - what I am saying is that there are a number of threads on this forum that are just plain whinges and gripes and they are getting more and more.

Well like Rocky1, that's me done as well and this will be my last post.

Re: Display scratches.

Talk about killing people’s enthusiasm. All those who have rejected their cars were once wide-eyed with enthusiasm, we know how they feel now :| Those who have rejected their cars though are a very small minority compared to the overall number of the roads, not only in the UK, but globally. That is...

Re: Car-Net status symbols

Thanks Impala. You are correct, my handbook is Edition 11.2017 with as you say little information on the specifics of the car. I will download the pdf to file for future reference. If as it says the car is not connected for either Guide and Inform or Security and Service when the globe is grey, the...

Re: Car-Net status symbols

Mine's exactly the same - working fine but the little globe is greyed out and the letters WLAN not showing. Been like that the last few weeks, very occasionally has had the full repertoire of symbols. This used to happen from time to time on my Audi's when VAG were "updating" the mothership, sometim...

Re: 19'' Rims question.

I have an R-Line with DCC and the 19” rims. I tend to stick with the comfort setting, otherwise it’s a hard ride! And there we must disagree - personally I don't find the standard sports suspension hard at all, gives a nice balanced ride. And that's the main point - we are all individuals with diff...

Re: Display scratches.

Unfortunately the dangers of dashboard polish (and possible dirt on the cloth from cleaning the dash) - happens on a lot of cars. I use my glasses cloth and glasses spray cleaner on the clear plastics. And still get off light marks Very annoying for it to have happened though - although with the pr...

Re: Removing key while still in Drive (DSG)

Checked mine - same as above. Wasn’t like this on my Audi’s, they had to be in P for the key to be removed. I’m now in the habit of always selecting P when I park the car, but good find @twist, helpful to be aware. Why VW have changed it - who knows. Maybe they couldn’t tow broken down cars previous...
