Re: Dashboard display failure

Haven't heard of this before - at least not on a T-ROC - I'd suggest either a catastrophic failure of the dash or the plug has started to come out the back. Either way, I'd suggest a trip to your dealer may be the answer.

Re: Mandatory Speed Limiter from 2022

Reading through the various articles on this suggests that the mandatory speed limiter will reset as soon as the car is started however it can be overridden by putting your foot flat to the floor. Let me guess as well though that there will be some sort of "tracking" of speeds attained/date/time etc...

Re: USB Ports in Latest T-Roc

I had similar occasional issues like this @twist and tried another lead (my normal iPhone charging lead) and since then (touch wood) it's all been good. Interesting... at first I thought it was that and I switched from the uselessly short little black and white cable VW supplied to an official iPho...

Mandatory Speed Limiter from 2022

Thoughts? This potentially will damage the performance car market (well, for ones bought after Jan 2022, everyone will want one pre-Jan 2022)

Re: Scratches

I use Menzerna products and have to say find them extremely effective at what they do. The joy of them are that they are degrading polishes, so they start off cutting and finish up with a scratch free finish. Personally, if they are only fine scratches, I’d use the 3800 fine finish polish, applied w...

Re: H7 light bulbs

Not on my T-Roc but on past motorcycles, I've updated my bulbs to Osram Nightbreaker bulbs which give much better light and spread.

Re: USB Ports in Latest T-Roc

Can't say we've had a single issue with the MIB2 in our cross. Lucky I guess. The biggest one I have (and I’m so fed up with it I’ve opened a case with VW support) is the “audio unavailable” bug with Apple CarPlay. Plug in the iPhone and no audio comes through. It shows that it’s playing music or S...

As someone in IT, I really should learn to RTFM.

Re: Playing music through infotainment system??

Hi guys, Just taken delivery of my new T-Roc R, and I have a question ... I'm a bit in the dark ages and don't have all my music in iTunes. When I had my last 2 Golfs, I copied all my CDs into WMA files, put them on a SD card, and was able to play them on the infotainment system. There were SD card...

Re: heated wing mirrors

The manual reads:

"Switch on the exterior mirror heating. The exterior mirror heating heats only at ambient temperatures below
+20°C (+68°F) and initially with the highest setting. Heating takes place dependent on the ambient temperature after around two minutes"
