Re: Owner since March 2018

I thought depreciation was highest in year 1, less in year 2, even less in year 3 and so on. Surely the longer you keep the car, the better you spread out your outlay? Or am I missing something? You’re probably right twist. I just wondered if a T-Roc of that era might not do so well. :? I have been...

Re: Owner since March 2018

We were one on the first to take delivery in March 2018. It is is a 1.5 petrol, SEL in white with a black roof. Never been back to the dealer except for 1st service. It hesitated a bit at first but never a big problem. They fitted an upgrade at the service and has been excellent since. Normally cha...

Re: Tyre pressures Door Sticker

Its not cost cutting - if its a space saver wheel typically (but not necessarily) it will be a smaller rim and a smaller profile wheel with a max speed of 50mph / 80kph stamped on it. Had similar on my Audi S3 and my wifes' A1. On my 2.0 TSi with the BEATS system, I have a smaller profile spare tyr...

Re: Tyre pressures Door Sticker

My guess is that the rim that is your spare has a deeper tyre to compensate for the size difference between your 18” wheels and the 16”spare. This would regularise the outer circumference for obvious reasons. But having different sized fitted rims to that of your spare isn’t ideal - perhaps it’s cos...

Re: Delayed build week (major)

They recently discontinued the orange inserts, so I got a call to see if I was ok with that. I then got told by VW that my car was status 0 as a result, so presumably the new stage 2 text is progress of some sort. All of the other stage 2's were my car being pushed back in the build order for who k...

Re: Leafs in engine bay

Its not a T Roc problem. Its happens every autumn. My Volvo and Audi TT suffer from the same problem. Terence Yep. But the leaves are easy to deal with. It’s the small, round seed pod thingies that get trapped in the channels that are really annoying ;) As you say it’s not just the T-Roc that has t...

Re: New T-Roc

Looks great! It seems a shame to have to take it out and get it wet (oo er missus) but it should be dry on Sunday :)

Re: 1.5 EVO - 1st gear kangaroo

So if you have a car still doing this, your only option now is rejection. Sadly, correct. I believe this to be a characteristic of the car and not a fault. Seems to me you have 2 options: 1. Roo around in a quirky SUV with 'endearing' characteristics that you really should just learn to appreciate ...

Re: Faulty Automatic Emergency Breaking

Don't disagree T Roo, but if you brake for no reason thus causing an accident then I'm not so sure how it would be viewed, as it isn't always the case that the following driver is deemed "at fault". This would be a very interesting case through the courts and insurance as the driver who rear-ended ...

Re: Faulty Automatic Emergency Breaking

Just an aside ,legally if my car slams on because of a fault and I get rear ended whose to blame. What if I am on the motorway? The driver behind you is required to leave sufficient room to cope with potential emergency. In my opinion, if you're rear-ended, he/she was too close. There are many circ...
