I was thinking about the plastics, I get that it shouldn't be like that but really, I don't touch or hit the dashboard very often! Will it be an issue in day to day life? I'm not so sure.

I know what you mean, I think it's just the perception and also the cost of the car. I've also loomed at the arona and that is a couple of grand less and the fr and lux models although having hard plastic dash have a soft touch pad across the front of the dash and it's cheaper.

I agree,you don't touch the to of the dash or doors very often,only to clean them.
My Golf has hard plastic on the rear door capping and it doesn't bother me as long as everything you touch regularly such as the steering wheel and switch gear feel good,which appears to be so on the t roc.
