In normal circumstances it might take anything from 2 to 6 weeks from leaving the factory to arriving at the dealership, but these aren't normal times. If fewer cars are being built, then your car may get on a ship earlier, but on the other hand you may have read on the forum about cars being stored at the port of Setubal to await fitting parts missing due to chip shortages. Come to think of it, is the R built in Portugal or Germany ?
I don't know if there is anyway to answer these uncertainties, so it's probably best not to set your sights on a particular date just yet as that could lead to disappointment and frustration.
The dealer should be notified, or able to check, when a car gets loaded on to a ship and even get the name of the ship. That would be about 1-2 weeks for cars built in Portugal before it reaches the dealer depending on your location and port of entry to the UK. Germany would probably be less.
It sounds like your dealer is quite good at keeping you informed, but if you are desperate you could give them a gentle request to regularly check the status.
