I'm surprised you can't get a similar spec to the T-roc.
I love the mrk8 golf R, some tool.
I'd be very happy with the GTI club sport though, with an alloy wheel upgrade.

I got a T-Roc R coming from a Golf GTD 7.5. Similar to you - I wanted a mk8 GTD, but they had just been launched and waiting time too long.
You'll love the performance (even better than your GTI), but fuel economy not brilliant (but you don't get a R for fuel economy reasons!)
It's a great car to drive. Only negative point for me is that the interior is too plasticy for the top of the range model - but your MY might have better trim.
