One week ago (10 Aug 2919) I tried to reject my 1.5TSI ECO 13OPS DSG Golf Match that was just 2 weeks old. I was told "It is not a fault, it is a design feature. You therefore cannot reject it"
Because of the life threatening experience on a 1 in 5 hill, my wife refused to drive the car. There was no way we could keep the car and any VW solution would be a long time in the future. I took the bold and, as it turns out not too costly move, to sell the Golf.
So, just four days later on the 14th August, we picked up a secondhand Skoda. It has the tried and tested 1.4TSI ACT 150PS engine. My wife is so happy and pleased that the horrors of the "Runaway Coast Mode" are fading link a bad nightmare.

My views about the 1.5TSI EVO 130PS engine and possible "Fixes" and armed with the Hindsight of the 2020 Golf Brochure are as follows:
Only offer the Coast Mode on the Manual with the 130PS engine
Only offer the 150PS engine for DSG
For current owners of 130PS DSG, come up with a "fix" so that "Coast Mode" is not in "Drive Mode" but only in "ECO Mode". Also, fix the "Engine Power fault".

For myself, I will use all the emails and statements from the dealer plus the data from the Forums to try and recover the £ loss I suffered on the Golf Experience.

A design feature that scares the life out of you .
That's pretty poor from VW and I would defo challenge them .
The small claims court might be useful .
But as you have sold the car you may not have any grounds to claim for losses.

Don't think they have the 1.5 or the Roo :0-)

Same engine and I believe it comes in the 148 bhp (150 bhp) depending on choosen model/spec.
Tiguan is the same although they've dropped the 130 bhp on the configurater last time I looked.

Sorry, this post is not about the roo though. It's something different that's what I meant. It's regarding the error message. You asked how bad his roo is.

No date yet. Dealer said it could arrive in a few days but said aim for 7-10 days. Ideally like to pick up week after next sometime so I can then get it ceramic coated at the weekend after.
 
VW have issued a software update. I have had it applied. It is going to be distributed as some sort of technical bulletin to all dealers soon. But it is available if they ask Vw technical or Vw Germany.

I will advise if fixed or not but won't know as mine was intermittent. Sometimes weeks without any errors.

My car is now updated with the latest software update. After that i didn't see the error yet. Seems like the issue is fixed or the software take off the error message.
