I wanted to pay cash in full for the T-Roc which is being delivered around September hopefully!!. I was advised by several dealers, sales men also the dealer finance manager to buy on PCP and pay the full amount to VW finance within 14 days of me collecting the car.
This way I was given an extra £500 discount and two year services free.
Has anyone on here did this and is there any negatives in doing this?
Thanks in advance.

Yes I did exactly that. It's totally hassle free. The documents you get state that you can withdraw without having to give a reason in the first 14 days (after delivery). I did that. The girl didn't even blink, just told me the outstanding amount (I'd accrued £2.50 interest), have me the account & sort number to pay into and I made a balance transfer.
Simples.

Ah! That's brilliant. I was kinda worried that they will want all the perks back. It just trusting the dealer at the moment but you rested my mind on this.
Thank you so much!!

Yeah, you should have no problem with this method of payment & your name will be on the logbook from day 1 ( very important for me) We paid for our T -Roc & our Scirocco this way.The dealer may frown upon you for doing it but you have a legal right to cancel any credit agreement within the first 14 days with no penalties,so enjoy your discount &your T-Roc ,we love ours 👍

As they are giving better deals I have contacted the dealer and they now increased the deposit contribution to £1000👍👍👍

I paid my finance deal off as well within the 14 days and it was hassle free. Only glitch was I was advised that my GAP insurance would also finish. I questioned this but it was confirmed it was so. I then took ALA GAP insurance through this forum and got a 10% discount. On return from holiday my certificate from the original GAP insurance was in the post, it wasn,t cancelled at all!! I cancelled it and got full refund as within 30 day cool off period. Lucky as it saved me £200 against ALA. So beware and choose GAP wisely.

Hi TurboTrev. I checked with the service department at the dealer that this was logged on their system as I negotiated a 3rd and 4th service as well. It was on my invoice and on the service sysrem for my vehicle. Best place to ask the question.
