So we had our T roc brand new since January, then last month someone decided to scratch the car door ( iridium grey) with a key for no reason. I’ll attach a picture. Just unsure if to repair or re spray? Any thoughts welcome

Have you had any quotes/estimates for 'repair' vs respray ?

Obviously respray will be a 100% repair, but if a 'repair' is less satisfactory then you might end up having a respray anyway and paying twice.

Try one of the Scratch/Dent repair specialist, they will quote from a photo and do the repair at your premises. Neighbour had a similar scratch and you couldn’t see anything once repaired - excellent job. He said it was cheap as well compared with body shop quotes. I think he used 'Chips Away’.

I could have a rant about not understanding the mentality of people that do this but it would only wind me up. I hope you get it sorted as cheaply as possible and I hope karma sorts out the idiots responsible!

Hopefully something unpleasant such as losing his Crown Jewels in an unfortunate smelting accident.

Hopefully they will do a good job if I choose them. Other options are to have the door sprayed but that’s what chipsaway are intending to do at their spray shop rather than on the drive so doesn’t seem to bad. Other local paint shops are probably only going to do the same but more expensive. Hard to say which will do a good job unless they have been used previously I guess…
