Just joined the forum Was interested to see comments about 1.5 t roc engine hesitating in 1st gear. I took my vehicle in to main dealer yesterday and explained that my vehicle seemed to stutter when pulling away .Got car back, told two service updates applied. Problem should be cured. It isn't!!

Bit of a strange one - I remember that the 1.2 tsi 59 plate Golf I had sometimes hesitated badly on setting off, but think that was down to the turbo not kicking in straight away. No sign of that in my 1.0 T-Roc, or 1.4 tsi Golf before either. Must be frustrating though as common sense suggests the 1.5 should be better than the 1.0.......

I haven't got mine yet but is there traction control or something similar?
If so can it be disabled to rule out it being a cause
Just a thought
Just checked spec and ESC includes traction control.

Mine has the stutter also. I getting the hang of it. I think you just gotta let go of the gear pedal(don't know the English word) early ,as soon as possible . Then i don't have this problem anymore.
So it's ok. The t-roc is easy to drive but the gears are difficult to master.
