Clementine's updates
Re: Clementine's updates
PS absolutely love what you've done to it. I'm inspired. Thinking of getting an rline and doing something similar.

Re: Clementine's updates
Hi both! Apologies for not responding in a while; I was put in a project that literally took my entire life for the past 2 months.

I finished last week and now that I'm done with some other backlog stuff, I'm back online to one of my favourite forums!
The rear bumper is the original one and has been modified.
I had a car painter who I trust to remove the fake covers and create plastic / PVC fillings, glue them (with some extra fiberglass on the back) and repaint the lower part.

Re: Clementine's updates
So as I mentioned in the previous reply, I had been crazy busy and once I finished with work, I ran for the final (for the time being) improvement I wanted to do to Clementine. A new exhaust with a valve to selectively get more or less noise for relaxed trips and nice noise when doing small drives or attending car events.
The downpine , catalyst and OPF filters remained original for warranty purposes and everything from the OPF filters and back was removed. The middle resonator was replaced by a 76mm pipe and the rear muffler has been replaced by one that has 1 input and 2 outputs and 4 exhaust tips in gloss black to maintain the orange-black look.
The 1st output is like in every exhaust muffler, it goes through a resonator section that reduces the sound. The 2nd output is in a direct line from the input and bypasses the resonator section and thus increases the sound.
On the 2nd output, a remote controlled valve has been installed to selectively open and close that one, depending on my mood.
Below you'll see a mini clip while the car is running in neutral and I'm playing around with the remote control, followed by a couple of pictures with the result.
Once I have some time and the Mrs available, I'll go for a ride to warm the engine well and do some revving and record the sounds with the valve off and on.

No divorce yet.

First class job as usual doggy, nice work
Sounds great even when ticking over
I've been on a few TRoc forums and this has to be the most modified TRoc I've seen to date

I managed to get it where I wanted. I think once the warranty expires in ~3,5 years, I'll do anything more that I'm thinking of

Re: Clementine's updates
What more could you possibly modify even
Loving the exhaust

Re: Clementine's updates
Thanks!!

A lot!! Haha, once the warranty expires, I will probably go for a bigger turbo (thinking of an IS38), different downpipe, sportscat, remove the OPF filters, and maybe pistons/rods. I'd like to get it close to ~350hp in the end.
And at some point in the future I want to have the hard plastic dashboard and door parts redone with alcantara on them (similar to what I've done to my Polo 6N).
See...? There are still plenty of things that can be done

Re: Clementine's updates
Here's some revving with the valve closed and open. The difference from outside is noticeable (not so much from inside the car).
