Blue driver how do you display it?
Blue driver how do you display it?
Hi
I have an MY 21 T-Roc 2.0 TSI MIB3 sport pack etc
I can display the off road dials on the MIB3. But I don’t seem to be able to find the lap timer, performance gauges or I think they call it the blue driver (economy display)
Has this been taken off the MIB3 system.
Thanks for any help.

Re: Blue driver how do you display it?
You should be able to find it by repeatedly touching the car button. It should cycle round consumption, warnings, energy consumers, screen dials and blue trainer. There has been precious little information on the rollout of mib3 so who knows, maybe they have ditched it.
Re: Blue driver how do you display it?
I wrote to VW about this (No reply as yet) having been requested by Customer services to do so and they sent me the email address. I have a Sel and have not been able to find these things either. I don't have the lap timer or the boost pressure indicator either. If you look at one of the displays you can see blue lines which change with the amount of throttle you use. Sorry cannot remember which one.

Re: Blue driver how do you display it?
The performance monitor/lap timer is on the R only.
The offroad display is on T-roc's with 4motion only.
Obdeleven or similar can add the offroad display and going to the right person can add the performance monitor/lap timer.
A fella on the German forum has managed to activate the performance monitor/lap timer, that's a first for me.
I would have thought all T-roc's come with the think blue display?
As tricky says, you should be able to get it by pressing the CAR tab a few times until its displayed.
It can be got a different way via the other tabs as well, I was for doing a video but my car says the battery is almost empty so I aborted.
Obviously mine is the MIB2 but I'd think similar enough?

Pretty sure the boost pressure and lap timer stuff are only available on the R. I turned them on once via Carista on my R-line but they definitely weren’t available out the box.htpeargo wrote: ↑Wed Jan 13, 2021 9:37 amI wrote to VW about this (No reply as yet) having been requested by Customer services to do so and they sent me the email address. The blue lines that go around the rev counter are standard on all trims/engines. Think they just represent acceleration? Can’t remember.

Are you talking about the same thing, the performance monitor?
Everywhere else says it's a Swap code activation

Re: Blue driver how do you display it?
Yeah I’m pretty sure those dials are only available on the R (also the Golf GTI) unless you OBD. My car definitely doesn’t have them by default. The 4MOTION models also have an off-road display but similarly that’s not available by default on FWD models.Deleted user 925 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 13, 2021 8:42 pmAre you talking about the same thing, the performance monitor?

Edit: I think you were asking for clarification that it’s an OBD tweak and yes, it is. I’m using the Carista beta and it can do it (I did it myself and then turned it off again because it’s kinda pointless for my car).
Edit 2: nope, my bad, it’s the off-road one i enabled with Carista. Should have checked first

Re: Blue driver how do you display it?

I thought it wasn't possible

Yeah I have offroad and it's impressive but at the same time not useful.
Performance monitor and think blue are the same really.
Think blue is common sense anyway
