Not heard that one before. I think the ignition being on is enough.
This has started to creep in on the Tiguan mk2 facelift, it'll probably cone in on the T-Roc when it gets a facelift.
You already have to open the bonnet on the T-Roc when using OBDEleven.
Fair enough, I didn't know and it didn't appear to be from other comments. So the T-Roc got this feature first then. Interesting i don't need to do this for our T-Cross, which was released later than the Roc.

I’m not sure it’s true mate. Carista definitely doesn’t require the bonnet open (I have changed several things with it and my bonnet was closed) and I can’t see why it would be any different for OBDEleven.

Unless this is for specific modifications? None of the ones I made required it.

Might be MY2020 or MY2021 🤔🤷‍♂️

I can't see why it would have changed as there hasn't even been a face-lift yet.

Maybe someone who has coded a MY2020/MY2021 can enlighten us 🤔🙌

My MY21 has to have the bonnet open because OBDEleven tells you you have to do it.

Must be MY21 then because mine’s a MY20!

Maybe it’s to do with the new MIB3 system.

I bet everything that goes wrong on these cars is the fault of the Mib3 system
