Glad your dealership were on the ball and honest. I mentioned it about my last T-Roc and was told “must be replicated in front of us” and of course it was a dry day so it didn’t happen. Current T-Roc has the same issue (it’s my opinion that they all do) and I’ll bet at my first service they’ll fight me on it again.
Hi Twist,

Mine did it 2 or 3 times when the car was a couple of months old but it hasn't done it since and the car is now 19 months old. Perhaps I've been lucky, although having poor hearing helps
Unfortunately my hearing is impecable - as, apparently, is everyone else around me when I’m parking given the looks I get as my car moans and groans its way into a bay...

Does it any time it’s wet and I’m reversing slowly (applying brakes for control). It’s horrendous. I swear I can feel the vibrations through the seat as well. It’s quite unpleasant.

Well the only way you're going to overcome the problem is by going back to your dealer (while you're still in warranty) .. not sure if it was earlier in this thread or a previous one I said I'd had my rear shoes renewed. I told the dealer I'd read about the problem on line and that other dealers were doing the honourable thing and changing either rear brake pads and/or rear discs. They obviously wanted to look for themselves, don't know whether they experienced it or just looked on line but I got my new shoes!

I have had my T-Roc R-Line 1.5 Tsi Evo for over ten months & I was getting the rear brake noise when applying brakes in reverse, car was booked in for inspection, dealer could not get the noise under test, but said there was another noise present and they fitted new brake pads. I have not been far in car due to Covid 19 lockdown, but I have to say the brakes seem to release easier when footbrake hold is in use, before I would have to give more revs to release the brake with a sudden surge, seems a lot smoother when pulling away and brakes release easier now. Hopefully fixed. I just wish they could cure the bunny hopping when mainly from cold start off.

Have you had any of the software updates applied that intend to fix the bunny hopping? Seems to sort it for some, not for others.

If you prove the noise by video they accept to change the rear pads. They are not using the factory fitted pads again. They order new version pads from Germany.

Same here, my car is same age too, although my hearing is excellent ! The noise happened a few embarrassing times and then disappeared after the rear brakes bedded in.

Indeed, persistence paid off. I took her in for a service today and in the "anything else" box I described the brakes issue once again. They've just emailed me to say pickup will be delayed as they're fitting the revised pads under warranty due to a recall/TPI.

No more mooing brakes for me!!

Rear Pads are changed under warranty. A metallic sheet also came with pads.
