@dime

I think you need to refer this to your dealer under warranty and let him deal with it - something isn't right after all and that's what warranty is for

You're welcome, although I'm sorry I couldn't help :|

You can be sure that this thread will have been read by people who would provide a solution if there was one possible without returning to your dealer so I think the dealer is now your best option if you want to sort this out.

Good luck :)

More surprising than there being no replies stating 'Me Too !' it appears that no one has ever had an ECO Driving Tip displayed :o

You have to wonder what this is for and why anyone in VW thinks it is a good idea and worth having :? :roll:

Dear,

I talked with my dealer, and thay told me that this message is software BUG.
Then they told me that there won't be a problem with my car. If thay resolve the problem the manufacturer must be informed and I will lose warranty???????????? And thay told me that they well resolve as soon as there is new update for the car software....But taht may be never :x . This is Macedonia. That's why I bought OBDeleven and I need help. My next step will be going to Greece to find help?
I haven't got another idea?

If you ask for a software bug to be resolved under your warranty, you will not lose your warranty. Sorting out problems like this is the reason why a warranty is provided in the first place.

As for an update, well who knows? I think most of Europe is waiting for one sort of update or another!

One other thing you might try is posting your enquiry on say, a Golf forum as the technology is I think the same. It might be that someone there may have an answer. ;)

And if that doesn’t work, how about just closing that screen down and ignoring it? It wouldn’t hurt just to forget about it!

If this is a software bug then surely it would affect other owners.

If only your car is affected then if it is software it is more likely corrupted rather than a bug. Ask the dealer to reset the car and re-apply the latest level of software.

Just occurred to me ... can't you use the OBD11 to clear all the logged fault conditions, or ask the dealer, and then see if the message goes away.

Or has that already been tried ? ;)

Hmmm, maybe it is correct reason. With OBD11 is not possible clear all fault!!?
