The first part is ready. I think it's more than a contract number :)
What build week were you given originally?

Bugger, mine was due to be built next week 😳. I did as my dealer yesterday as I assumed they’d be delays but he seemed to have no knowledge of any delays.
Bugger that's right I been waiting 5 months dealer rubbish I have been doing all donkey work by Web chat vw customer services all I have been told it is at EMDEN Germany dealer said couldn't find any more info that was 8days ago I think I will now cancel order t roc 1.5 white black roof dsg
I waited 11 months, for different reasons, and went through similar hassle with VW. The dealer was supportive but there was nothing they could do as I din't want a different car/spec so my only choice was wait or cancel. The problem with waiting a bit longer, never knowing the end date, but you could cancel the day before the log jam suddenly clears. Not sure if I would have walked away if I had known it would be 11 months, but I'd already spent a lot of time looking at other makes & models and din't want to start again and maybe find other manufacturers were in the same boat.

I chose to wait as I had reached a good agreement with the dealer, and I've had no regrets. The car is great and was worth the wait.

I ordered mine on 2 March 2020 in the UK and was given a provisional build week of 18. I am still at Stage 3 according to their site.

Prices have increased since I ordered but the VW site assures that you only pay the price you were quoted when ordering and my dealership assures the same with the part exchange allowance given. I wonder how long that assurance will last?
My dealer held the agreed price and trade in allowance for 11 months, plus I got my Golf serviced & MOT'd and a faulty turbo actuator replaced at no cost and I got a free 2 year service deal on the T-Roc.

Why not email or write to the dealer sales manager and put your questions and concerns to him/her. Be polite, as threats will get you nowhere and you will probably find most manufacturers are in similar positions so cancellation would leave you no better off as you might have to accept current prices and trade in allowance elsewhere.
