Android auto

Post by ntemis021 » Thu Aug 13, 2020 12:02 pm

Hello
I have been working Android auto with no problems with a rooted s8+ and you tube also on the move.

But my question is has anyone ever managed to make it work wireless? I count the cars and phones that support wireless Android auto and t roc is in the list and my phone also but I cannot get it to work without a cable.

I didnt think the T roc allowed this without some aftermarket devices.
Was a T-Roc 2.0 Tsi R 300bhp, now rejected!

In the compatible list of Android wireless auto official page it says t roc 2018-
So there must be a way to do this.

It’s either incorrect or referring to the Cabrio variant of the T-Roc. That’s the only one (currently) with support for wireless CarPlay / AndroidAuto. Even MY21 normal T-Rocs don’t support it. Requires an upgraded infotainment head unit.

Had a wee mess around with android auto and find I can't display many apps although android auto states quite a few of the apps I already have installed are compatible.
How's it working with everyone else?

I have read elsewhere people are having the same problem.
The photo below shows what I can display.

I think that's all you can add and see to your car screen. Maybe with mirrorlink things getting better but my phone doesn't support it...
