Facelit T-Roc 22

Post by Seal » Sat Nov 07, 2020 4:08 pm

At the request of many lovers of T-Roc VW decided to have a dashboard in soft material, despite that the materials of the trim panels of the doors will remain the same (for now) the radio will be of the type of Q2 but situated further down in the place where the q2 has the central air vents, the new led headlights together with the new bumper grille are great,of course the front and rear bumpers have a new design, the front one now without the license plate support, new fabric patterns on the seats and new body colors will be available, in principle the T-Roc R will even have a new engine with more cv and respecting all anti-pollution laws like others engines for now only the 1000 are wltp

When you say the radio is situated further down, does that mean it is a separate unit or has the whole Infotainment screen also been moved down ? Can't see how that would be a good idea either way.

Interesting. When will it be shown to the public?

I agree with @Impala: I don’t like the idea of the display being positioned further down, just seems like it will make it harder to see the road when checking satnav. I would actually prefer if it was shifted a little further up.

I’m very happy where it is now, certainly don’t want one of those horrid stickup things that seem to be all the rage. As the one in the Audi Q2 or the new Juke. I always think it looks like they have forgotten to include one, then nip in to an Apple shop and quickly buy an iPad and some superglue and stick it up on top of the dash. I was always unhappy when I had to stick a Sat-nav on the windscreen as it blocked the view of the road ahead.

Yeah I agree - I can’t understand why people praise Mercedes’ A class (and other models!) for the display. It looks awful. Bigger isn’t always better, specially when the implementation is as lazy as that.

This is one thing I’ve always given VW credit for: clean interior design. Debatable in Golf 8 but I think they may realize that now.

this matter has a lot of controversy, many will like it others don't, those responsible for marketing have a difficult job that is to interpret the many opinions during the satisfaction surveys of each model. again VW tries to follow the trends, put the radio in new place is part of it like it or not, a lot of opinions were given about the hard material dashboard, looking even of poor quality, now that it will be in soft material, let's see the opinions.I actually like the configuration of the old dashboard more that of the new configuration, but tastes are not discussed

I fail to understand how anyone could consider having the SatNav display lower down - it suggests they think everyone will be happy use the Active Info Display for navigation, but some front seat passengers like to follow the map and route.

Has anyone on here ever been asked to complete a satisfaction survey ? I've purchased many new VW cars over the past 20+ years and I've never been asked once.
