Opening boot with keyless entry

Post by BlueTRoc2021 » Wed May 12, 2021 9:54 am

Hi I’ll be collecting myT Roc next week.

A few questions if any members could help please :)

Does the car need to be unlocked first with the fob to open the boot ? Or can you walk up to the boot and open it keyless with fob in pocket if you’ve paid for keyless entry on car ?

Once car is placed in park with the handbrake come on automatically ?

Thanks 😀

Just walk up and open, no need to unlock the car. There's a receiver around the boot area to detect the keys. This will just unlock the boot, not the whole car.

Just don’t leave the key in the boot when you close the trunk

As long as you have touched the key in the last 5 minutes (or 15 if MY20) then it won’t lock the key in the boot but I suspect that once the key goes to sleep and stops sending out codes, it may well lock. Unless it refuses to lock the trunk again if it doesn’t detect the key at all?
