I'm willing to bet that you do.
I watched mine being pulled to the dock by tug boats in real time :D
Damn it you were right  Pegasus Ace left Setubal at the weekend just after I got my 5a. Neither the dealer or VW can tell me if my car is onboard as the ship status for it hasn't been updated yet. Paglia is docked at Setubal right now too so I'm hoping it's on that one if not Pegasus.

Argggghhh!!! Why do I do this to myself?!?!

Thats a fantastic lead time on your replacement car. Fingers crossed it’s a fault free one :-)

Oh I’ve got everything crossed  but at this point I’m pretty confident it will be.

Extremely unlikely your car would get on the first ship after going to 5a (left the factory). It can be 2-3 weeks sitting in the staging area at the docks before being loaded on a ship. Keep checking with the dealer as they should see the name of the ship on the order progress once it has been loaded.

I’m probably being naively optimistic given that my first one was 5a to 6 in 11 days but it does seem the demand for T-Rocs has perhaps decreased a bit, hence the significantly improved lead times. Maybe the whole kangaroo fiasco has damaged sales after all - who knows.

Either way, you can be damn sure I’ll be emailing the dealer every few days for an update.

Hi

I ordered my T roc R line 1.5 manual indium grey/met black roof on 18 Feb 21 and it arrived on 18 May 21.

I love the car and although I have only done about 150 miles I have no issues at all.

As for part ex, I was trading a 2017 VW golf R Line 1.5 22000 miles, good condition.

The dealership originally offered £13000 after negotiating it was £13500, this was back in Feb, however, 1 week before delivery I withdrew the PX and sold it my self.
I kept the golf until delivery of my new car, just to make sure all was well.

After shopping around and many online valuations, I elected to sell through webuyanycars, the original quote was £14625, however after their detailed inspection,

and after discovering a few minor chips and scratches the agreed price was £14200. (after all deductions). My decision to sell, no pushy sales pat.

My private sale price was quoted at about £15200 - £15400 but I wanted an easy hassle free sale.

However, what I have found is that used cars are very much in demand and prices are very much on the rise, i do regret slightly not keeping my golf for a little longer before selling, I think the global chip shortage is causing lots of delays and as new cars are getting less, used cars are really in high demand.

regards to all

Mark
