I also have been in touch with vw chat today as was told should have had a confirmed b/w by end of August. Today it's showing still as unconfirmed b/w 40 with delivery mid October. They have said today lead time is 18 weeks from order. Obviously this is subject to change until I get a confirmed week.
Ordered 19/06 - R-line 1.5tsi in silver white metallic, park assist, rear camera, beats, panoramic roof, side assist, keyless, electric tailgate & lumber support. B/W 39, in the UK somewhere. Order cancelled.

I ordered a tiguan end of June '16 and it was ready for collection on 1st September, 4 weeks earlier than expected. I knew there would be a slightly longer wait but it seems that everytime you speak to vw they change how the dates are worked out.

So frustrating my order which was submitted 1st of May has been delayed again, they cant give me a build date as it hasn't had a build week allocated but I have today been told production doesn't commence until the 5th of November onwards (BW45).

I have a build date (Monday just gone). Anyone know if mine could be delayed at this point?

I just chat with VW customer services and my unconfirmed build week is still 41 (for now) .. I ordered a 1.5 R-line.

@m87, are you saying, you've not even been given an 'unconfirmed' build week ?

I think production has or is about to start soon (Domstark above seems to support this) as Portuguese reports state factory is firing up again and my dealer stated week 37 for production of manuals (not 100% sure about DSGs).

@Domstark ... it's all speculation at the moment as to exactly what is happening as each of us is being fed different information. We currently do not know if (or when) the 1.5 Evo engine will pass WLTP ( currently it seems only the 1.0 and 1.6 Diesel has). We hope for an updated price list soon for T-Roc with 'passed WLTP' shown for 1.5 derivatives. If you ordered a 1.0, then I think you will be okay as that has passed WLTP, if it's a 1.5, then at present we just do not know for certain when they will be built and transported to us.

I'm off to the pub :-)

Just registered to join this conversation. I ordered a 1.5 TSI Design DSG on 9th May and was told 12-16 weeks.

Chased dealer the other day and was told provisional build week is 41(8th Oct) with delivery 4-5 weeks later. To be fair they applied the extra £500 deposit contribution without me raising it so I’ve accepted the situation although I’ve only got about 5 weeks wriggle room on my current PCP before the balloon payment is due.
