Hi Impala

I made a complaint to VW a few weeks.

When I placed my order I signed a letter from VW accepting that I had been advised of a delay in delivery because of the WLTP programme that cars are subjected to. At the time my dealer informed me that this meant my estimated delivery of September could be delayed until November.

When responding to my complaint ‘the brand’ accepted no liability for the delay in delivery I was experiencing referring to the letter I had signed accepting the delay. I did say that their letter was misleading as the implication was a delay of a few months, however, in reality the letter not being time bound means that even a delay of 2 years is acceptable to VW.

Thanks for that heads up Finbo. All information like this will help me prepare for presenting the complaint in detail.

I don't recall signing any such letter but I will dig out my paperwork to check. If I can't find anything, I will ask them to produce a copy.

Also, I don't think they have a leg to stand on regarding how essentially the same car as far as WLTP is concerned could be ordered 4 months after mine and now be delivered while I'm still on Stage 2 since last July.

They have admitted that 'some' orders got out of expected sequence, which I think is another way of saying they screwed up and processing of my order restarted from the beginning again at least once and perhaps twice and that is what triggered the SMS text messages I got in November and December saying my order had 'progressed' to stage 2.

Thanks Finbo.

So you got notified of the build week about 20 weeks before hand. I was told of an unconfirmed build week 25 about 2 weeks ago, so that looks like it is now slipping.

Some good news for me. Our vehicle has finally been assigned a build week - week 9 of 2019. That's over a year before it's even started to be built.

Our dealer has asked VW if they're going to do anything for compensation as to the extreme length of the wait but I'm not expecting much.

cadbury-troc, that must be a record on the forum.

I take it that you weren't in dire need to get a car quickly, but even so, nobody should have to wait that long for a 'peoples' car'.

I guess you could be looking at delivery in May, especially if shipments are disrupted by Brexit. So still a bit to go, but at least you can see some light at the end of the tunnel.

So, visited my dealer today and got the info that no new orders for t-roc are possible up until the summer. He said that the same situation is in whole EU. (I wonder) So...lucky ones who got their deal up until begining of february. The reason for stopping new orders is cleaning huge order list in factory. Anyone has the same info?

Omg I’m shocked by this! So VW are saying they won’t take any new orders for the T-Roc until summer? Thank goodness I ordered mine a month ago!

I was given the following information by my dealer last week. It is an extract from a VW email to my dealer in response to my complaint that some orders, like mine and a few others on the forum, have suffered massive delivery delays while more recent orders are seemingly being built & delivered in preference.

'Our Planning and Supply Team are aware that there have been instances where T-Rocs have been built out of the expected sequence and this is something they are actively working with the factory on to understand the reasons behind it ...

... our objective remains, as it always has been, to prioritise customer orders based upon order date and this is the message we give to our factories. In fact, a project is underway that we expect to result in more customer orders scheduling sooner and improve the consistency around production lead times in the future'.

I think VW have finally realised that there are some oustanding orders that have suffered very long delays and they are now trying to correct matters.

I think that z germans messed up pretty badly in planning and production of t-roc. Autoeuropa is not up to a job.
