Aquarius Ace finally docked at Grimsby last night (Wed 10/4) around 8pm and it left Grimsby this morning around 7:30am heading for Tyne, ETA around 6pm.

My dealer unfortunately told me yesterday that my car was still in Setubal and not assigned to a ship, so at this point I not sure if it will even be loaded on the Comet Ace which is due to dock in Setubal early tomorrow morning.

I just hope this doesn't end in another protracted delay.

Hi,

How long aprox. took from port to dealer?
Hi Bobb11. I think it varies from 7 - 10 days. If it is any help mine took 2 weeks... That was back in January. Depends to on your dealer and if it goes to a "Dealer Collection Point" first. Mine was through Blades and it sat in their holding yard for a little while before it got to my local dealer. If yours is a smaller dealer, it might be quicker.

Impala - speak with Customer Services - mine took just over 9 weeks from when it left the factory before it arrived at Sheerness. I spoke to Customer Services a couple of times about why it was taking so long and where was it etc etc. There is a section there that deals with shipping and who know where each car is and when it will be shipped. I insisted that I speak with them as mine was "more than the 10-14 days suggested" asking why it was taking so long. And suddenly it was shipped. Amazing

Impala, you must be the most laid-back forum contributor of all time. I would be driven mental by the torture they are putting you through and would be writing in expletives only by now.

I am in awe of and commend your patience :D

Just had a message from the dealer. I've now got an unconfirmed build week of 37 (Mid September) and a delvivery of mid October, although the offical status is still stage 2 (with the factory).

Anyone know how much credence I should place on this?

I was originally quoted a lead time of 22 weeks (end of July)

BarryF: you’ve just given me a sinking feeling that there’s no way I’ll get mine in October now, having ordered a month after you and with a more complex specification.

At least you’ve got the security of price-lock from potential post-Brexit tariffs which a lot of us who ordered in March (including me) don’t.

I'd go for a stock order. They had loads of greys. Camera you can get dealer to fit for few hundred quid more. You'd have it in a few weeks then.
Design 1.5 DSG Indium Grey Black, Sat nav, Active info. Plus oem dealer installed reversing camera.
Stock Order 20/03. Collected 31/03
