I don't have my T-Roc yet, but, if and when it arrives the horn is as feeble as what is being suggested, then I'll be looking to fit a Denali SoundBomb Mini - direct replacement and 113dB. Loud! I fitted one of these to my Motorbike (which is EU4 Compliant and has a CanBUS electrical system) and it works an absolute treat, no error messages or suchlike and the same size as the standard (feeble) snail horn which was fitted to that just a lot louder!

I think you went a different direction with your upgrade but do you happen to know if this should work with the T-Roc? I'm hopeless with electrics so I'd rather just do a 1 for 1 swap if possible, rather than the more elaborate approach I think you ended up taking!
I did and the Mini Soundbomb works a treat - but its not a one-for-one swap, I had to buy another VW horn, cut the connector off it and then make up my own lead using those connectors for it to fit to the OEM loom (same as others with non-VW horns have done).

My T-Roc R-Line had a very poor low tone horn single horn fitted, I bought a pair of bideffer horns from Amazon and fitted these in place of the feeble horn VW fit, People hear me now when they cut me up, a great improvement for less than £14 Quid.

How easy was this to swap? Did you have to do any cable splicing?

My car is an early T Roc SEL (jan. 2018) and definitely has Twin horns, later models obviously with single horn only

Looking at the twin horn he bought, it has standard male spade connectors so I'd say he cut off the original connector & crimped on female spade connectors with the secondary horn wiring at the same time. 🤔

But you still need the secondary wiring chased through? I was just hoping for a quick swap, even if I had to change the connector. I just can’t be bothered chasing a second cable through the car (mainly because I don’t have a clue how).

There wouldn't be any wire chasing the way he done it although he most probably had the bottom engine cover off to do it, I'd doubt the original connector cable would be long enough to come through the fog light hole to do the termination & wire adaptations 🤔

Kuftec do kit options although a wee bit costly 🤷‍♂️

Thats a rough euro conversion and I don't know if there's a customs charge now that we're out of the EU.

Yeah I did actually see that retrofit kit yesterday but you’re right: a little pricy for what it is.

I’ll have a think, thanks for the advice 👍

Here is my simple solution that I carried out almost a couple of years ago. The two horns fit on the same bracket on the original nearside position.

I think the issue is that none of us are sparkies so we follow up until the “connector splicing” bit.

Are you saying you just took an old connector (that would plug directly into the original wiring socket that the single horn is plugged into) and connected the wires from each of the new horns into the single salvaged connector? How many wires does a horn have and is it obvious what they’re for? L, N and some sort of on/off L? Or is that wishful thinking?
