I see the t cross r-line now comes with 16 cylinder gasoline engine according to the configuration!

You mean 16 valve 4 cylinder, right? The 1.5TSI?

A 16 banger in a T-Cross would be a bit excessive

Someone got their wires crossed but that configuration could be interesting!

I’m assuming you’ve all seen Rob’s t-cross forums too: https://www.tcrossforums.co.uk/viewforu ... 049247d4b1

Y’know, I reckon both the troc and tcross are pretty desirable cars :)

Had a 1 litre T-Cross out as a courtesy car, just out home and back again.
I was impressed with it and would definitely consider one as my next car but with the 1.5 engine.
I jumped from my driving position seat to the rear passenger seat directly behind and I had legroom and I'm over 6 foot, I do tend too drive with my legs bent though.
The T-Roc is a better driving car though and more comfortable, my 19" wheels seemed to give a better ride than the 17"s on the T-Cross but I would need more driving to be certain.
Overall I was impressed!

One annoying thing I did notice immediately was the "take control of the steering wheel" message and ping every couple of minutes on my journey in and out.
Has been mentioned on the T-Cross forum, it's either way to sensitive or the timeout needs increased?

T-Roc is not so different on those timings - if you don't like it, just turn Lane Assist off and it stops doing it. You have to look at it though as what it was designed for - as a safety feature. The whole concept is that if you fall asleep or collapse at the wheel (with Lane Assist engaged of course) then the car warns you by pinging you to take over the steering. If you don't it, give it a few more seconds it will ping you again and then will briefly apply the brakes to see if the 'jerk' wakes you up. If THAT doesn't work, then the system brings the car to a controlled halt with the 4-ways going. So whilst the initial ping is annoying it does have its reason and use.

I too have had a T-Cross as a courtesy car, very nice but for me it's a no to purchasing one - the one thing I absolutely hated was that the centre screen was angled away from the driver? What dipstick designed that?????

The T-Roc is no where near as sensitive as the T-Cross 🤔
