T-Roc Moves up to 4th place in Germany

Post by JAMCT » Fri Jul 12, 2019 11:19 am

Our beloved model surges to 4th place in Germany's car sales chart

See data:

I now spot a T-Roc every day when I'm out and about in Urmston including the same black model passing my front door daily. However I've not yet had the opportunity to test its 'automatic braking system' :x in order for it to stop so that I can to compare notes with the driver

Thanks for that link JAMCT. Good that the T-Roc is selling well - it deserves to.

I'm going to enjoy changing countries on the linked site to see what is selling where - most interesting.

Interestingly, well done to the Scottish forum members. June figures have the T-Roc in top 10. 👍

Interestingly, I did get to test out emergency braking in a real situation yesterday. A huge pallet of slabs/bricks fell off a truck in that torrential rain we had on the M8 in Scotland. It fell in front of the car in front of me so he had to emergency brake and my word, the speed of my T-Roc detecting the emergency situation before my “thinking time” was astonishing. It literally started sounding the alarm before I even realized what was happening. It was absolutely incredible.

I’m not sure if the car assisted with braking but it may have applied the brakes a fraction of a second before I did. Happened so fast I can’t honestly remember.

Hope none of you ever end up in this sort of situation but at least you’ve now got a real-world testimonial of just how effective it is, even in terrible conditions where you can barely see what’s in front of you.

I've had a BMW doing 50 mph emergency stop in front of me for no reason, my week and a half old T-Roc stoped automatically while flashing a big red warning message.

Very happy with it's performance.

Great to know that the emergency braking system actually works but I'm still mot going to chance jumping in front of that locally driven black 'roc

Any way to turn it off? After all, what if you *need* to ram something?

You could always try taping up the sensors :D

But.......remember to take the tape off again before the police arrive, don't want to be caught with the evidence of pre-meditation still in place 8-)

Wouldn't that make the car think there is something solid in front all the time so will not move.
