the T-Roc cabriolet was presented in the second week of July in Wolfsburg to the factory directors VW and still had the old symbol, the first T-Rocs to come out with new symbols will only be in early 2020.

I could be wrong but those pictures look like digital renders to me. It could be that the badge will change once it’s finalized. VW maybe continuing to keep the new badge hidden until an official unveiling? The brochure will be the best indication in any case.

Ah, fair enough thanks both. Have to wait a little longer for the new skinny :D

No wonder it’s taking so long to fix the roo when they’ve spent 3 years “redesigning” the logo and all they did was toggle off all the FX in Photoshop.

Seriously though... 3 years.

Three. Years.

After reading this thread I had a look at the front badge on my car. It looked normal even close up, then I touched it and realised the surface is flat and the letters aren't raised. I then checked the rear badge (with reversing camera) and it is the type with raised letters, as is the badge in the steering wheel.

So my car, built at the end of March, appears to have this new badge or something very similar. As I said, I couldn't tell the difference looking at it and it certainly makes it easier to clean, especially at the front. It seems a clever design to look the same.

Maybe some others should check theirs too, but I can't see what the fuss is about as it doesn't detract from the car in any way. Maybe I'm missing something.

Hi. I doubt a March car will have it. I think the badge on the front is just slightly different. Does your V and W touch the circle?

I can assure you that my front badge is perfectly flat, regardless of where the letters are. Have you checked yours ?

I think what they mean is that the front badge has an emboss effect, even though it’s completely flat (presumably needs to be since it houses one of the radars). If you look closely though, there is actually a dark edge to the letters, about 5mm thick - this is the “emboss” they’re referring to. On cars without a radar there, it’s physically embossed.
