A couple of things I've only noticed

Post by vernerbongo2 » Sun Dec 01, 2019 10:19 am

You learn something new everyday as the old saying goes.

Poking around in my car the other night with both reading lights on, realised the following day I'd forgot to turn them off
No problem, they go off when car is locked.

Secondly, coming home from work the other night radio on. I pulled into the yard and put the handbrake on, music volume went noticeably up.
Handbrake off, volume went down :P

Is it perhaps coincidental that the music went up/down with the handbrake on/off and in fact it was the parking sensors activating/deactivating because you’d slowed to a crawl? My music ducks when the parking sensors come on - happens to an annoying frequency while driving in traffic jams!

The amount of 'radio' sound reduction can be adjusted from a lot to none. Can't remember where in settings it is but it is there as I've adjusted ours (car not available to look today, but if I get chance in next few days to get the key off the wife I'll look).
OR you could always leave a bigger gap from the car in front 😆😆😆

Can't remember if I had it in reverse or not, engine running or not 🤔

Definately.... keep the rear tyres of the vehicle in front in full view so you can make an emerdency escape if the other call stalls or breaks down   , especialy when driving on cold dark wet horrible winter nights.

I do! I leave a perfectly reasonable gap so I can see tyres and some tarmac! I wonder if the Park Assist sensors are slightly longer range and it’s easier to set them off?

The parking sensors also sometimes get triggered if a biker cuts the lanes in slow moving traffic.

They come on when slowly driving forward too if they detect something close by, not just in reverse.

I keep my front sensors off all the time, I'm for trying it again tomorrow ;)

Strange, I couldn't replicate the volume going up and down tonight.
Tried everything?

I'll have to get my thinking cap on!

Funnily enough I thought I had videoed it that night, only to discover I'd only taken a photograph of my handbrake button
