SOS emergency call restricted

Post by Bh1995 » Sun Nov 15, 2020 2:21 pm

Had my brand new R Line about 2 weeks now and as of yesterday each time I start the car I get this warning message.

Has anyone had anything similar and did you get it resolved and how?

Nope, shouldn't be doing that!
What state are the lights in on the ceiling SOS button? Red I'd guess.

Definitely a dealer job.

you have to go to your dealer, and avoid clicking that button until the dealer intervenes

Yeah, sounds like maybe the cellular connection in the car is faulty.

You get that message if its unable to pick up a good signal for the SOS SIM - in this case though, (unless you know you are generally in a cellular dead spot) its a dealer job

I get the opposite when I drive into central London every week I will get at least one "SOS Emergency Call Activated" during the journey. Never got it popping up anywhere else.

Quite agree, it would need an emergency for me to drive into central London. :-)

The T-Cross forum has reported a new fault, see https://www.tcrossforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=636 related to the SOS button. Not exactly the same, but is it possible your units have just had an over the air update?
