There are two emissions quoted at the moment, old and new - If you look at the UK configurator for the 1.5 DSG you will see
NEDC Consumption and Emissions. Emissions - combined 124 g/km
WLTP Consumption and Emissions Emission Combined 154 g/km
The UK is basing tax on the old system for a while.
Strange that they don't give the 2 figures in the price list as that is where all the info is about tax. Normally the configurator is unreliable regarding options and it seems a strange place to put such detail.
There is a note in the price list which implies the mpg and CO2 figures are determined by WLTP testing while the figures shown are based on calculations to give an NEDC equivalent.
This is supposed to allow comparison across different brands, so I guess those calculations must be officially determined in the regulations so as to keep it meaningful.
I've included a screen shot from the new 8th August price list - apologies if the text size is hard to read, but if you right click on the image then select 'View Image' you may get a bigger image.
Anyway, there are some strange dates in the notes, such as NEDC (or equivalent) being the 'official' UK fuel consumption data until 31.12.18
and the data shown is correct at 22.1.19
- both dates seem rather old for this latest 8.8.19 price list. If NEDC is no longer the official UK consumption data, why not give the new 'official' data, and either the data correct at date is wrong or the figures haven't changed since 22 January ! Maybe this is just typical VW publications errors.
One last comment - for those considering a diesel, the notes state that the 2.0 TDI 4Motion may only be available from existing stock and no longer available for factory orders.
