Dashboard warning lights

Post by Chriss24 » Wed Jul 11, 2018 8:46 pm

After i turn on the car system (putting the car key in) the dashboard warning lights come up, and then fade away, but these 2 warning lights remain till i turn on the engine(and then they fade away too).

Do you think there is a problem?

Perfectly normal. EPC= Electronic Power Control.

Should be ON when you first turn on the ignition, but should go out when you have cranked/started the engine.
IF it stays on when your engine is running (which apparantly isnt the case with yours) then take it to a garage to get it checked out-could be something more serious (or could be something less serious like a faulty sensor)
Regards-
Geoff

Got the same problem with my three week old car, Which has also got dampness in the rear offside lighting cluster{ Awaiting parts from Germany could take three weeks}. Meanwhile I am riding around with a defective stop/night light! Hope I don't get stopped by the police, I believe the ECP warning light may be linked to the lighting problem I have indicated.Does not fill me with confidence in the car for the future! Will have to contact my dealer to tell them about another problem tomorrow...

You seem to be having some bad luck ‘TT’ - is the EPC permanently on then?
