Post by Smarttask » Thu Feb 28, 2019 11:44 am

Just completed 10.000 Kms and unlike most I’ve had no problems with my T-Roc. Every thing working fine and very pleased with the customer follow up.. 3 phone calls sense September to find out if I was happy with my car and had I had any problems..

Wish I could say the same, as I am a bit 3 out of 5 satisfied, and I have rounded 15.000km in my 1. 5 tsi dsg.
1. One side mirror changed due to querking sound
2. Spoiler re-glued
3. Crap dsg7 dry clutch gearbox - aka DQ200 - this is actually the part I hate the most. From cold, there's lots of slip and uneven acceleration, been like that since 2000-3000km. Had it reset to basic at VW, but didn't help. Software and clutch type is the newest, so vw could not do much about it, and they could not guarantee anything if clutch is replaced. I will never get a 7 speed dry clutch again once I am done with this car. However I have decided to try TVS engineering from Holland, seems as they are the only one who can actually do something about it, and a very good reputation across Europe as being DSG specialist, hopefully it helps, next week will tell.

Sorry about your problems. I had the Beetle Dune 1.4 TSI DSG7 before the T-Roc and never had any problems with that either.. hope you get it sorted out..

I've had a 1.4 TSI DSG in a Golf GT since 2014 and have had no problems with the DSG.

I don't recognise any of the conditions described in that article, which looks like it may date from 2015.

Have I been lucky, or have VW sorted out earlier problems ?

Same with me.. on my Mercedes À 45 I have DSG and on the Beetle Dune but reading the above article I wonder if mine is different on my T-Roc.. it says that the DQ200 is for small engines up to 240Nm mine is 340Nm??? I’m very happy with mine at the moment.. it takes us up the mountains in Italy (Madesimo) lots of snow + here in the South of France it pulls my trailer full of garden rubbish or stuff from the builders yard.. All in All it’s a great little runaround..

The dsg7 in 2.0 tdi or tsi, is the new dq381 - however i think skoda started using dq381 on the 1.5 tsi kodiaq or karooq, there was a post on a forum a while ago
