Any member with a recent expérience of retrofit since last post (1 year).

It's really something I would like to have on my T-roc.

I had a look on the German forum, but I quite surprised that he only put an actuator on one side...

Does anyone have experience with Retrofits kits from Kubatec and the Dongle that they supply for coding ?

I was looking at retro-fitting a power tailgate as in Oz it is only offered in an options pack with a sunroof and an ugly brown/grey leather trim with a white border :-(

But it starts getting a little expensive over here, although there are many second hand parts available in Europe that would make it much more attractive.

Definitely not worth the hassle or especially the dough.

As above, everything is possible it's just are you willing to pay for it, you are probably looking at well over £500 in parts alone, you need to decided how much you want it.

 

It should be possible, but costly as the parts to dealers are more expensive than at the factory, and there's the labour of removal and refitting as a one off, a lot more time than initially installing it.

On the mk2 Tiguan forum, a dealer forgot to order the electric tailgate for a customer, and elected to retrofit it themselves at their expense. They did a very Good job on it, so it is possible.
