I agree but I don’t have navigation and the symbol has appeared three months after I bought the car. It’s bugging me!

 

If the ignition is on, and car stationary - you're in a 30mph zone doing 0mph. Maybe show a full shot of the dash. The triangle pointer is due north. Or is this too obvious a philosophy. Sorry!

 

I couldn’t take a picture while I was moving and the symbol is there pointing the same wherever I’m driving. However it wasn’t there for the first three months I had the car.

 

I believe this has come up before. It's the compass, but because you don't have the sat nav it does nothing. If you have sat nav it rotates pointing north.

Why it wasn't there at first I don't know. OTA update, or you've inadvertantly turned it on somehow?
